Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information American Hotel Cards collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain and we keep it short — because we collect very little.

Overview
American Hotel Cards (“American Hotel Cards,” “we,” “us” or “our”) supplies sustainable RFID hotel key cards and wristbands to hotels across the United States. We respect your privacy and have built this website to gather as little personal information as possible. In short: we collect the details you choose to send us through our contact and sample-request forms, and we use standard, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used. We do not sell your information.
This policy applies to americanhotelcards.com and to communications you have with us by email. By using the site or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect two kinds of information, and only where it is needed to respond to you or run the site.
Information you give us. When you submit a contact form, request samples or email us, you may provide:
- Your name and the name of your hotel or company;
- Your business email address and, if you provide it, a phone number;
- A shipping or business address (for sample requests);
- Details about your project — your lock system, quantities, materials and any message you write to us.
Our contact and sample-request forms are processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form-handling service that delivers your submission to our inbox. The information you enter is transmitted to us through that service so we can reply.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect limited technical data when you visit, such as your approximate location (derived from IP address), browser and device type, the pages you view and how you arrived. This is gathered through analytics cookies, described below.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes and send sample packs;
- Provide, maintain and improve the website and our products;
- Understand which content and products are useful, in aggregate;
- Communicate with you about a project you have started with us;
- Keep records as needed for our legitimate business and legal obligations.
We do not use your contact details to send marketing email unless you have asked us to or are an active customer, and any such message will include a way to opt out.
We do not sell your data
American Hotel Cards does not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The information you give us is used to serve you and run our business — nothing more.
Data retention
We keep contact and sample-request information for as long as needed to respond to you, fulfill a project and meet our record-keeping and legal obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it. Aggregate analytics data is retained according to our analytics configuration and Google’s standard retention controls.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and we use reputable service providers with their own security practices. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we hold. Please do not send sensitive personal or payment details through the website forms — they are not designed for that purpose.
Your choices & rights
You can, at any time:
- Ask us what information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct or delete information you have given us;
- Opt out of any non-essential communications;
- Control or block cookies through your browser and the analytics opt-out described above.
To make any of these requests, email us at info@americanhotelcards.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, U.S. state privacy laws (such as those in California, Virginia, Colorado and other states with comprehensive privacy statutes) may give you additional rights — including the right to know what personal information is collected, to access or delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. As described above, we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any state-law right, contact us at info@americanhotelcards.com and we will honor applicable requests without discriminating against you for making them.
Children’s privacy
This is a business-to-business website intended for hoteliers and hospitality professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
Our site references lock manufacturers, standards bodies and other third parties for information purposes. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of websites we do not operate. Please review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here; your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
